Pranayama is a Sanskrit word which literally translates into “extension of the prana or breath”.
‘Prana’ means life-force and it is the life-force or vital energy that pervades the body. Prana is the link between mind and consciousness. The physical manifestation of “prana’ is breath and ”ayama” means to extent or draw out the breath.
In this 2.5-hour workshop, we will explore our breath and the power that it holds over our physical, mental, and emotional state.
Inga will go over and practice several forms of breath and intergrate each into our yoga practice. Extended savasana with meditation to go deeply within. (option for hands on assists and adjustments during savasana)
45-minute Pranayama Practice: Learn 4 breathing methods as well as benefits for each. Questions will be answered and Information will be given to each student for future usage.
60-minute yoga Practice: Intergrate all 4 pranayama techniques into your practice. Non-heated and All levels. Use your breath to strengthen and empower yourself – body, mind, and spirit.
30-minute meditation and savasana: In Savasana, sensory stimulation and external distractions are ultimately minimized to help the body completely relax. With a grounded body, mental energy can be channeled inward and the mind can start to explore the body from the inside.
