Do you have what it takes to be in the Texas or Mexican Army? Come out and see how the armies trained to fight in the 1830s. This program will cover drill, tactics, and weaponry of both the Mexican and Texian armies. Visitors will learn how to march in formation, fire a volley from our wooden muskets, and gain a better understanding of how the Texas Revolution unfolded.
WHEN: This event is open to all ages and will be available from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
WHERE: This program will occur next to the concession stand, near the battleship parking lot. Look for the cannon.
ITEMS: It is recommended, though not required, that you bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, a hat, and comfortable shoes.
COST: Free to the public.
OTHER DETAILS: In the event of bad weather, this program will be canceled.
