We are thrilled to be doing our annual Holiday Lights Tours for the 8th year in a row. We love this City & love showing it off to others, especially when it is all lit up.
Tips to make your Wave Holiday Lights Tour experience marvelous
Where: Market Square Park Meet your Wave representatives by the benches at the park between 5:15-5:45 where they will start checking people in. The buses will be first come first seated. Check in early to assure you are all on the same bus & to minimize your wait time on others to arrive. The last bus will have to wait until 6pm, or everyone who has pre-paid has arrived or been reached. The buses will try to stay together as best they can, but we cannot guarantee that. On occasion traffic does get backed up in these areas.
Time: 6p-9p(approx.) arrive between 5:15-5:45 so you can enjoy one of the awesome restaurants in the area. Waves will leave by 6pm for the tour, depending on when each one fills up.
Cost: $35/pp includes specials at some of the establishments in Market Square before, holiday treats on the buses, the pre-set tour of lights, and the awesome transportation. A portion of ticket sales will go to Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
Parking:Plenty of street parking around Market Square Park. Meters turn off at 6pm. There are also several surface parking lots surrounding Market Square Park. You can go to downtownhouston.org/parking/
for more parking info.
What to bring: Bring food & drink along with you. No glass though. We encourage you to try all the great spots around Market Square.
Tour details: First we will go by City Hall to see the awesome tree then Discovery Green. Then we will head into River Oaks. If time permitting, we will drive through Woodland Heights. We will be giving you a chance to get out & walk around at each spot if you want to take some pictures. There is no public restroom once the tour starts until we get to Discovery Green. Our windows are tinted, but you can still see out and most people have wanted to get out & walk around at the stops. You will be able to see all the pictures we take too. These tours are open to everyone. There could be people consuming adult beverages on board and there could be small kiddos on board your bus. Be respectful of one another & remain in the holiday spirit.
Kid friendly. Kids do need a seat, but if you are okay with lapping a child 4 & under, then they do not need a ticket.
