After a successful showing at the world-renowned Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin, Germany, an exhibition by students and faculty at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design will make its U.S. debut Tuesday, November 14th in the Mashburn Gallery. Houston: Genetic City combines three semesters of studio projects presented by students, faculty, and Thom Mayne that explore Houston’s future in a post-industrial, post-oil, post-sprawl environment. Presented as a series of maps, models, and virtual reality simulations, the exhibition considers potential development solutions for Houston’s hot, humid and flood-prone climate.
