Artist Happy Hour benefiting Hurricane Harvey Relief
Get cultured with Lucille’s in the heart of the Houston Museum District for a great cause. Meet our newest artist, Omar Islas, whose work will be displayed throughout the restaurant for the next two months, and enjoy happy hour priced cocktails and complimentary light bites. In an effort to give back to Houston after Hurricane Harvey, a percentage of the evening’s proceeds will go to Sylvester Turner, Mayor of Houston's Hurricane Relief Fund through the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
Omar Islas is a Mexican artist who specializes in creating intricate assemblages-style art with wood pieces. After years practicing as a Periodontist in Mexico, Texas and California, his unconventional background eventually led him to professionally pursue his relaxation hobby. His passion to experiment with salvaged wood, colorful paints and assemblage style became real expressions of art, bringing him national success as an environmental campaigner.
