This is an event to help promote the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and to end the stigma around mental illness. About 1,100 college students take their lives each year. We will be putting down 1,100 shirts in Butler Plaza to commemorate their lives and to bring awareness towards suicide prevention. Furthermore, we will have events and tabling set up across campus spreading awareness about mental health.
In order to be able to put down 1,100 shirts, we will need donations from you or your organizations! Please consider donating UH shirts to the SGA office (Student Center North 220) or e-mail email@example.com if you'd like to donate in bulk. Let's reach our goal of 1,100 shirts by September 12th! All shirts after the event will be donated locally.
