Is it possible to shift the scales of life balance in an evening? We’d like to think that such mindful changes can happen in small moments, so why not join us tonight after Nia class? What might happen?
Simple, rejuvenating practices will be shared and discussed with ample opportunity to practice. Facilitated by Julie Wylie, these mind/body/spirit practices can help us all restore that much-needed life balance.
Finding Health Through Movement: Art of Self-Healing
with Somatic Educator & Nia Training Faculty, Julie Ann Wylie
Stress can affect all aspects of your life, including your ability to think, emotions, behaviors and physical health. No part of the body is immune. People handle stress differently, therefore symptoms can vary. In today’s high stress world, moving to heal is vital to your sense of well-being.
«Self-Healing does not consist of a single, dramatic act, but instead is generally composed of a long series of small acts of self-kindness, guided by pleasure. Overtime, as these acts accumulate, people become eminently skillful at exercising their self-healing powers.”
The Nia Technique by Debbie Rosas & Carlos Aya-Rosas
Join us this evening as somatic educator, teacher and trainer, Julie Ann Wylie guides an introductory exploration in the Art of using movement as medicine. Moving with a purpose to feel better can deliver a multitude of therapeutic benefits — physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. These changes are noticed immediately and have a cumulative affect.
With over 35 years of movement experience, Julie uses her physiology training and passion for advancing holistic body knowledge and self-awareness to inspire others towards feel-better, move-more, right-life choices.
This event is a pre-training info session for the upcoming White Belt Intensive with Helen Terry & Julie Wylie and is an excellent opportunity to learn more about yourself, about Nia, and about Julie. Expect an intimate and wildly experiential evening.
