The Brown Berets de Houston, TejAztlan will be gathering at De Zavala park in Magnolia Barrio on the anniversary of the Houston Chicano moratorium, we will also be marching the route that was taken that day in 1970.
The Chicano moratorium was an anti war action, opposing the war in Vietnam in which a number of Chicano's lost their lives fighting.
In this day and time [email protected][email protected]
are still fighting for equality, there is no time like right now to be heard, we will take our messages to the street in one of the oldest Mexican American communities in Houston.
We will be marching for/against:
*Justice for John Hernandez/Police Brutality
*equality for all
*against the privately owned Immigration detention center in Conroe
*against gentrification in our Barrios
Come on out and join the Brown Berets de Houston in this march, all are welcome to join us in this peaceful demonstration of unity.
