— This event is for those guests who would like to learn the process and evolution of creating an Uchi makimono (sushi roll). Each guest will have the opportunity to learn from two of our sushi chefs the process and technique used when crafting rolls. During the hands-on presentation, the chefs will share insight into the history of makimono at Uchi. There will be additional bites provided by the kitchen throughout the class.
In addition to the sushi roll activity, there will be two sake pairings with a brief sake 101 hosted by Uchi Houston bartender, Matt Taylor.
