It’s Fashion, It’s Glitz and It’s a Great Cause
Has your life been affected by cancer? Chances has. Hannah Hogan, Senior Manager, Distinguished Events for The American Cancer Society, says, “Here at ACS, our vision is a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer. Our purpose is to achieve it. We are a united force against all cancers. And we’re on a mission to save lives and celebrate life, every single day. We do this by drawing on our humanity. Humanity made up of courage, determination, innovation, passion, empathy, and caring. Every action we take moves us one step closer to a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer.”
In that endeavor, Hannah is proud to announce the 7th Annual American Cancer Society Couture for the Cause right here in Fort Bend County. “This year’s theme is ‘Garden Glitz,’ and the event will be held at the Farmhouse in Richmond's Harvest Green — Houston's first farm-centric community by Johnson Development. As in years past, we will host a fashion show by the pool featuring couture models--many of whom are cancer patients or survivors--seizing their own opportunity to give back. The fashion show will be produced by Lenny Matuszewski, hair by Mark Anthony of Milagro Salons, and makeup by LaDonna Marie of Sugar Land Face and Body. It’s going to be fabulous!”
In addition to the fashion show, you don’t want to miss the wine pull (make a donation, draw a cork, win a bottle of wine!), Big Board (unique auction items available for bid), “Whiskey and Diamonds” raffle sponsored by Plaza Jewelers and fabulous food from local restaurants. Hannah says, “Planning is underway thanks to Chairs Monique Bossett, Susan Ley-Novosad, Debbie Marcell, Michelle Royster, Margot Sayre and Gina Pizzini. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Please join us for an unforgettable evening full of fashion, food, and philanthropy.”
