Texas Governor Greg Abbott will be giving a second State of the State address in Houston at the Hilton Americas.
Governor Abbott has continuously refrained from voicing any criticism towards President Trump and his divisive and harmful policies and rhetoric.
What he does show support for and prioritizes is legislation like SB 4 (withholding state dollars for so called “sanctuary cities”) and SB 6 (bathroom bill).
He also supports repealing Obamacare and blocking funds to Planned Parenthood, who provide lifesaving cancer screenings.
Greg Abbott opposes increasing the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10, calling it “a job killer.” Yet he has steadily increased HIS personal salary as Governor since being elected from $92,000 a year to $150,000 a year.
We need to come together as Texans and let Greg Abbott know that we do not agree with him or his policies and that his idea of Texas is not the same as ours. We can turn this great state of ours into something we can all enjoy and be proud of.
